About Little Moe
Welcome to Little Moe's Kennel where our motto is "Paws For Fun".
Owner, Yan Wilson is a mother to Zac and Gracie. Yan was raised with German Shepherd Dogs and continues the love of this breed today. Her breeding program shows a dedication to excellence in conformation and temperament. By the age of 12 Yan was working for her Dad "Big Moe" in the family boarding kennel. Her keen interest in animal behaviour and training has led Yan to seek out professional teaching to further her skills.
A trip to Hot Springs Arkansas led her
to Bob Bailey, a Scientist, who helped Yan become skilled in the use of
Operant Conditioning Behaviour Analysis. This has become Yans’
preferred training method and She has become an expert at using all
four techniques (shaping, capturing, luring and moulding) in training
her own competition dogs as well as in teaching many levels of
obedience and agility. Yan has successfully competed in Canada and the
US. Yan encourages her clients to problem solve and use positive
reinforcement to reach their training goals.
Yan has become a familiar face at the PABA seminars at Guelph University. Yan remains open minded, is willing to listen and learn from these world experts in Animal Behaviour, a favourite being Dr. Karen Overall.
